Thank you for writing this. I 100 recognize this way of functioning/not functioning. For a long time I have restrained this force of exploration, being embarrassed about my old obsessions, trying hard to enjoy what other people enjoy. I’m now at a point in life where I have stopped drinking, left old friends behind and fully embracing who I am. The force is strong! I support you and there are so many thing for us to explore making this life exciting and fresh. Again- thank you for being open and sharing.

Keep it up!

Thanks for this comment Calle - I'm glad it resonated with you and I'm happy to see you're feeling strong having shaken old habits and people that I assume were not aligned with future you. When we set new goals we need to become a new person to reach them - often quite a painful process, but worth it.

This resonates very deeply with me on a few levels. Sewing machines, old cassette players, soldering irons, heat guns, and various other tools also pepper me with shame :)

I love the framing of using the seasons as containers/sprints. I find it so tricky to stay in balance between production and remaining in nature. As the Tao says:

“There is time for being ahead,

A time for being behind;

A time for being in motion,

A time for being at rest;

A time for being vigorous,

A time for being exhausted;

A time for being safe,

A time for being in danger.

The Master sees things as they are,

Without trying to control them.

She lets them go their own way,

And resides at the center of the circle.”

Thanks for sharing!
